28/08/2017 ... EFL/ESL/ESOL TEACHER WANTED FOR SOUTHERN PORTUGAL OCTOBER 2017 TO JUNE 2018

 

Small language school with a friendly, professional working environment. We seek a full-time teacher on the basis of a freelance agreement to teach 24 hours per week from 02/10/2017 to 30/06/2018. Typical periods during which the teaching timetable is arranged are Mon-Thu 4.30pm-10.00pm, Fri 3.00pm-8.30pm and Sat 10.00am-1.00pm. Located in the small Unesco World Heritage city of Evora in southern Portugal, we offer communicative language training for small groups of children, and youths/adults, at all levels (6 years of age to CPE level) and training for Cambridge exams, especially FCE/CAE. Facilities include interactive white-boards (training provided) and our 'Guidelines for Teachers' booklet provides information and guidance for new teachers and there is a 10-hour induction course. Applications invited from EU/UK-citizen, native-speaker, graduate, CELTA (or equivalent)-qualified EFL teachers with a minimum 2 years' experience. Knowledge of Portuguese (or other Latin languages) an advantage. We seek someone who is professional in their approach, adaptable, organised, creative and passionate about TEFL. Experience of using interactive whiteboards an advantage.

Freelance agreement guarantees 24 hours/week over 9 months with monthly remuneration of 1,664 euros paid gross (16 euros/hour). 10 days holiday at Christmas and Easter. Free accident insurance. Exemption from social security contributions during the first 12 months of your residence in Portugal.
